Psychiatry is the branch of medicine related to the identifying, prevention, study, and treatment of psychological disorders. These include various abnormalities related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatry refers to a branch of medicine focused specifically on the mind, aiming to study, prevent, and treat mental disorders in humans. It has been described as an intermediate between the world from a social environment and the world from the perspective of those who are mentally ill.
